When they first invented eyeglasses in the 13th century in Florence,
at a time when Italy was considered a powerhouse of innovation and development, particularly in the optics and glass manufacturing,
those physicists and opticians didn’t have the faintest idea where their invention would lead.
They couldn’t have imagined that by the 21st century,
there would be glasses with futuristic lenses allowing seamless transition between sunglasses and close-up vision with a finger swipe,
TINDER-style swipe.
Sounds bizarre, right?
Even today, it still sounds strange, but this method is alive and kicking.
Smart sunglasses and vision glasses, all in one place.
Glasses from the future, or as the brand slogan says:
SUPERHERO GLASSES FOR SUPERHERO PEOPLE.
When the geniuses from Deep Optics approached us, with the directions to design the packaging for this crazy product called 32N,
we knew the packaging had to deliver a parallel universal experience.
Starting from the unboxing, which contains the playful SWIPE experience, through the precise and clean materials that convey the essence of the product, to the compartment of the accessories in the back part of the packaging,
which, when you take them out, make you feel like you’ve opened a 3000-year-old mummy’s sarcophagus.
If we could add a smoke effect and the sound of “shhhhh,” we would.
For those wondering how this crazy technology works, we’ll try to explain despite getting a C- in chemistry lessons in high school:)
The glasses, similar to some of the screens on the market today, are made of layers of Liquid Crystal – a material that can change by applying low electrical voltage.
A tiny processor, whose role is to adjust the user’s visual data and change the focus accordingly, is activated by SWIPE on the side of the glasses.
That’s the most detailed we can give 🙂
But like any giant brand, which talks less about what’s under the hood of the product but lets the brand power and experience go through the eyes, directly into our bloodstream at a speed of 270 km/h, commanding us to pull out the APPLE PAY and pay without asking questions or going to the doctor for a prescription.
