Graffiti wall design for a restaurant, and how to design a wall that will be based on branding

A few months before we first heard the two words COVID-19, we had just finished a business branding for a Greek restaurant that was scheduled to open sometime around March.

We came up with the brand name “Ola Kala,” which means everything is fine in Greek… Reality doesn’t always cooperate and the restaurant was closed for a long time.

Inside the restaurant there is a very large wall, 8 meters wide, with a very dark texture and color. As soon as we saw it, we knew it had to be taken care of, and this wall is actually the "tiebreaker" in this restaurant, or as they say, the Game Changer.

This was a great opportunity to bring the power of the combination of graphic design. Visual identity, graffiti and the meeting of all these in space. The inspiration for the graffiti was from Greek mythology with a combination of elements from the street and the use of the brand's color palette.

The wall design process begins with a sketch where we create the graphic concept of the wall and how it will work as part of the overall design language of the place, the brand and the graphic look. First, we decide on the appropriate technique for the wall. There are many different options, here we chose graffiti. Graffiti provides a very specific result, which needs to work with the design and the story.

The process of choosing the technique for designing walls within spaces, whether restaurants or offices, is no less important than the design itself. The same design will look completely different when printed on glass, wood, or projected. The weight that wall design has on a space, whether it is an office, restaurant, or exhibition space, is very great. The graphic wall immediately draws the viewer into a rich visual world and transports them to an experience that combines several senses.

And here's a little glimpse of what it looks like along the way. ** And don't forget to wear a mask

Wine, Prada and research

I don't know anyone who doesn't like wine. Red, white, pink, sparkling, still, dry, semi-dry, quarter-dry, wine. Here are some results from very diverse studies that examined the advantages and disadvantages of drinking wine. The results are a bit ambiguous :) "Drinking a glass of wine with meals reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes". "A bottle of wine is worth 10 cigarettes" "Red wine improves the health of cells in blood vessels".…

WPO-World Packaging Awards

At the World Packaging Awards in Milan, inside the Versace Palace. 500 projects from 40 countries stood before the judges. Then our name was called. Not once, but twice. GoChess — first place. 32ºN — first place. Two completely different packaging solutions. Both were built with precision, with a story, and with complete respect for the product inside. It was never about trends. It was about faith. Q - Structure is a language. Q…
