A series that we started working on in 2014 has hit store shelves across the US, in Buy Buy Baby, Baby's r us stores. Today, the product series has already reached the sales volume of a brand that has been on the market for a long time. A process that usually takes a certain period of time to introduce the brand.
So how do you do it?
At the beginning you don't know much about where it will be displayed. Have a general idea of the nature of the stores. Sometimes packaging needs to have both a shelf option and a hanging option. Sometimes the right solution is packaging that can work in both ways, packaging that stands on the shelf with a hidden hanger, and that's how we solved two situations with one layout.
The series of bottles contains bottles made of different materials and in different colors. We created a differentiation in color to differentiate the material. There are two types of materials: PPSU, a high-quality and expensive material, and PP, which is a cheaper plastic material. The PPSU packaging was black and the PP packaging was sky blue. The design concept of these packages was different from what is known within the category of baby feeding products. The competition in the baby market worldwide and in the US in particular is great. The market is very saturated and it is very difficult to create differentiation. We went for a very minimalist concept, Packaging Design & Unboxing Very clean, almost a cosmetic product that conveys a modern and fashionable product, of course, while maintaining all the necessary information. A baby brand that combined black and solid colors brought a new and groundbreaking way into the category.
