When we are presented with a challenge, it is always the most fun. At first glance, the product looks really big and with illogical angles, there is that moment when the thought crosses your mind of how this thing is going to fit into the packaging development. Then you close your eyes and think about the surfboard and think about the sea – and then there is the stage of inspiration – so it is true that I do not understand every field that our customers come from – and unfortunately the only time I surfed in the sea ended with me almost drowning – but honestly… so what do we do to enter the world – we open books, we open magazines and of course we also open websites and watch movies. That is how we enter all the amazing worlds that our customers come from.
So it's true that there are a lot of limitations within the world of Packaging Design & Unboxing, because the size is the one that completely determines – the larger the item, the more it costs to ship. And the larger the value, the more it plays a role – shipping will always be determined by the higher value if the volume is larger than the size.. So sometimes you can find yourself paying for air. Not to mention the jumps in shipping costs from a certain size. That's why it's important for us to know a lot of parameters before we even start designing.
The use of stickers as part of the packaging design language comes directly from the world of surfing, the stickers stuck on surfboards, the different formats of the stickers – so on the one hand we printed in one color on the packaging and on the other hand we used the stickers as part of the packaging's graphic language.
