When they first invented eyeglasses in the 13th century in Florence, at a time when Italy was considered a powerhouse of innovation and development, particularly in the optics and glass manufacturing, those physicists and opticians didn't have the faintest idea where their invention would lead.
They couldn't have imagined that by the 21st century, There would be glasses with futuristic lenses allowing seamless transition between sunglasses and close-up vision with a finger swipe, TINDER-style swipe.
Sounds bizarre, right? Even today, it still sounds strange, but this method is alive and kicking. Smart sunglasses and vision glasses, all in one place. Glasses from the future, or as the brand slogan says:

And if you're wondering how this all works – here's a quick explanation, even though we got a C-minus in high school chemistry:
The lenses are made of layers of Liquid Crystal – a material that changes state when activated by a low electrical voltage.
A tiny processor adjusts the user's vision data and performs the focus change. It's all activated with a small swipe on the sides of the glasses.
This is about the most technical we've gotten into 🙂
Because like any truly great brand – what matters less is “what’s under the hood” and more is how it feels.
